[Men's Basketball] Scoring Woes Continue For Redhawks On Senior Night

The Benedictine Mesa men's basketball program scoring woes continued Saturday night. The Redhawks couldn't buy a bucket and ended up losing to Westcliff University on senior night, 70-57. The loss moves the Redhawks to 5-4 in Cal Pac Conference play. Senior Maurice Walton led the wayfor the Redhawks with his 10th double-double on the year. Walton finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Senior Jay Small had 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Junior Tyler Fernstrom had 10 points for the Redhawks off the bench. Junior guard Tre Carolina finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Senior Bryce Cheney had 7 points and 4 rebounds. Benedictine Mesa shot 41.8% from the field, but only managed to make 3 of their 16 3-point attempts, or 18.8%. The Redhawks outrebounded the Warriors 40-33 and had 12 assists on 23 field goals made. The Redhawks are back in action this Friday, February 11 when they travel to Riverside, California for a matchup against La Sierra University. The game is scheduled to start at 3pm MST.
