[Men's Basketball] Redhawks Dancing In New Orleans For National Tournament

On Thursday night the Benedictine Mesa men's basketball program was announced as a 16 seed in the 2022 NAIA National Tournament. The Redhawks will be traveling to the regional site in New Orleans, Louisianna to take on the top seeded Loyola University New Orleans Wolf Pack on Friday, March 11 at 7:30pm CST, 6:30pm MST. Benedictine Mesa will enter the tournament with an overall record of 13-16. The Redhawks took one of the two available tournament berths out of the Cal Pac Conference by making the championship game of the conference tournament. This marks the second time in program history the Redhawks have made the NAIA tournament. The Wolf Pack were awarded the top seed in the tournament with a 31-1 record. They were the regular season and tournament champions of the Southern States Athletic Conference. This is their fourth straight tournament appearance and eighth overall. The regional also includes 8 seed Evangel University and 9 seed Florida College. Evangel was the runner-up in the Heart of America Conference tournament.
