[Men's Basketball] Kerr named third team All-American

NAIA releaseA four-time all-conference selection. A 2018 conference freshman of the year award recipient. Eighth in career scoring and third in career rebounds in program history.And now an All-American.John Kerr added to his already-impressive resume when he was named to the All-America third team by the NAIA today.The 6-7 senior forward/center became the first Bee named to a men's basketball all-America team since Mike Kennedy earned back-to-back first team honors in 2011 and 2012. Tylon Deal (2014) and Nick Frazier (2015) earned all-America honorable mention for St. Ambrose.Kerr averaged 19.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season. He shot 56.1 percent from the field, 43.4 percent from beyond the arc and 82.5 percent from the foul line. He posted 10 double-doubles.The Lake Villa, Ill., native helped St. Ambrose finish 15-6 overall and 9-3 in the CCAC, the second-best mark in the conference. The Bees' season ended in the CCAC Tournament quarterfinals.Kerr finished the season with 1,706 career points and 951 career rebounds.
