[Men's Basketball] Kazanecki named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's Basketball TeamSt. Ambrose forward/center Tom Kazanecki was named to the 2021-22 Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.Kazanecki represents District 3, which includes NAIA colleges from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. He now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first- and second-team All-America honorees will be selected.Kazanecki, from Palos Heights, Ill., is averaging team highs of 17.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game this season for the Bees. He is shooting better than 50 percent from the floor, including a 34.4-percent mark from 3-point range. He is currently enrolled in SAU's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.
