[Men's Basketball] Halverson Tough; Saint Xavier Defeats Goshen, 91-82

CHICAGO – Senior forward Jack Halverson (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) scored a team-best 21 points on 7-for-11 shooting and was 6-of-7 from the foul line, along with seven rebounds, four blocks and three assists to guide Saint Xavier University men's basketball (12-3, 7-1 CCAC) to a 91-82 non-conference win over Goshen College (Ind.) Saturday afternoon at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. to end the 2022 portion of their schedule. The Cougars shot 88.2 percent from the foul line (30-for-34) and had season-highs in both free throws attempted and made. It was the eighth consecutive win for SXU and it's their best start since the 2013-14 season when they started the season 21-2.
