Vinson Leads Griffins to Victory over Highlanders with Career Night

Langhorne, Pa. – (12/11/2023) – JoHaan Vinson (Philadelphia, Pa.) was an undeniable force in tonight's 91-82 victory at Cairn University (6-4), as the senior guard hit six three-point baskets (6-of-11, .545) in a career-high 33-point performance that he paired with a career-high 14 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Gwynedd Mercy University (4-5) trailed the Highlanders for most of the first half and did so by as many as nine points, 39-30, as late as the three-minute mark (3:05) before meeting them at at 41-41 (0:03) halftime stalemate. In the second half, the Griffins remained the trail horse until the final four minutes of the contest; there, five straight Vinson points broke the Red and Gold from a 74-74 (4:22) tie and spirited for them for the eventual nine-point triumph.
