Stewart Selected to AEC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll After Milestone

Lancaster, Pa. – (1/22/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University junior guard Aquil Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored his 1,000th career point with his final basket of an 81-77 league loss to Marymount University (Jan. 17) and led the Griffins with 17 points in a 74-58 league win over Immaculata University (Jan. 20) to earn recognition on the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll. Stewart only scored seven points against the Saints, but also impacted the game with two assists and a steal. He added four assists and three steals to his team-high scoring versus the Mighty Macs.
