Renowned Coach and Leader, Dawn Staley, to Speak on Women of Color Leadership

ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Catherine University is thrilled to announce that celebrated basketball coach and  leader, Dawn Staley, will be a featured speaker at an upcoming event focused on breaking barriers to empower women to lead through athletics. The free event open to the public is funded by the Katie Leadership Impact Program as part of the Women of Color Leadership Series and in collaboration with the St. Kate's athletics department. The one-hour moderated discussion will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 7 pm at The O'Shaughnessy Theater on the campus of St. Catherine University.

Dawn Staley, a trailblazer in the world of sports and mentor to many, will share her insights and experiences on leadership, resilience, and empowerment. With a stellar career that includes coaching success and advocacy for diversity and inclusion, Staley's perspective promises to be both enriching and motivating. The discussion will be moderated by Lea B. Olsen, Founder of Rethink the Win. As a former Division I basketball player at the University of Minnesota, Lea had worked for NBCSN, ESPN, is a game analyst for the Minnesota Lynx and a sideline reporter for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
