Parker Named AEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, Marable Milestone Earns Honor Roll Mention

Lancaster, Pa. – (1/29/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University senior guard Aziz Parker (Westampton, N.J.) was named the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 20.5 points (PPG), 5.5 rebounds (RPG), 2.0 assists (APG), and 2.0 steals (SPG) per game in recent league wins over Marywood University (W, 97-77 on Jan. 24) and Neumann University (W, 87-79 on Jan. 27). His teammate, junior guard Mike Marable (Philadelphia, Pa.) joined him on the Weekly Report as an Honor Roll mention; Marable recorded his 1,000th career point while scoring a team-high 20 points in the Griffin's home win over the Pacers and finished the week averaging 16.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.5 blocks per game (BPG), and 2.0 SPG.
