Men's basketball opens conference play at home against Newberry Saturday

Harrogate, TN – The Lincoln Memorial men's basketball is set to open conference play on Saturday, playing host to the Newberry Wolves. The Railsplitters will put their NCAA-leading 62-game home winning streak on the line against the Wolves. Lincoln Memorial is coming off of its second home win of the season, a 75-70 victory over Winston-Salem State on Wednesday. During the contest with the Rams, Forward Martez Brown set a new career-high in rebounding, hauling in 20 boards. It is one of many personal-bests set by individual players this season. Earlier in the year, guard Me'Kell Burries set a new career-high in points scored with 37 points as he scorched the nets with nine three pointers during the game, which was also a new career-high. Matthew Sells set a new career-high for points scored during the same game, tallying 28 points with an astonishing eight three pointers of his own.
