The Lowdown: Barclay College at Friends UniversityLocation: Garvey CenterWhen: Tuesday, Nov. 2 @ 8 pmBroadcast and Live Stats: https://kcacnetwork.com/friends/Flying with the Falcons: The Friends University Falcons opened the 2021-22 campaign with a couple of setbacks to (RV) Concordia University and Hastings College this past weekend in Hastings, Neb.Ian Konek (JR/Long Beach, Calif.) and Trey Reid (FR/Wichita, Kan. ) each averaged 12.0 ppg for the two outings, with Konek pulling down a team-best 6.5 rebounds per game and Davonte Pack (SR/Sumter, SC) dishing out a team-high 4.5 assists. Tim Barbieri (JR/Abilene,Kan. ) also had three blocks vs. Concordia.Scouting the Bears: The Barclay College Bears began their season last Friday (Oct. 29) with a 101-69 loss at John Brown University. Chazten Brown led the Bears with 17 points and six rebounds. Davion Knight (14 points) and DJ Hudspeth (13 points) also scored in double-figures for Barclay.The Series: This will be the first meeting on record between the Falcons and Bears.Quoting Head Coach Austin McBeth: "We're excited to be at home in front of our fans. In addition, he has authored two books on coaching philosophies and the important role that coaches play in the lives of athletes.Tanner Huck is the head coach of the Barclay College Bears.  Up Next: The Falcons will compete in Bartlesville, Okla. this weekend on Friday (Nov. 5) vs. Missouri Valley College and then on Saturday (Nov. 6) against MidAmerica Nazarene University. Friends will next be back home on Nov. 13 for a 3 pm tip-off with Graceland University.
