[Men's Basketball] Hall Reaches 1,000-Point Milestone as #12 USAO Wins on Senior Day

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Ahead of an expected winter storm, No. 12 ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (14-2, 9-2 SAC) was able to stay hot with their fifth consecutive #DroverDUB. The Drovers were able to celebrate their seniors in fashion with a dominant 93-53 performance against Langston University (0-10, 0-10 SAC).The Drovers led from start-to-finish in the lop-sided contest. In the opening half, the Drovers led by as many as 36-points, and they took a 50-18 lead into halftime.Following the break, the Drovers were able to outscore an under-manned Langston team, 43-35.The Drovers did not shoot the ball at a high percentage, but they made up for it by dominating the glass and by forcing turnovers. USAO won the rebounding battle 57-34, and 21 of the Drovers rebounds came at the offensive end of the floor. Additionally, USAO forced Langston into committing 21 turnovers, 14 of which were caused by a Drover steal.Elvin Rodriguez (SR/New York, NY) turned in a SPECTACULAR performance on Senior Day. Rodriguez nearly recorded a quadruple-double in only 26 minutes of action. The senior from New York, closed the win with 22 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and SIX steals. Trenton Sandifer (SR/Dallas, TX) also had a big Senior Day performance and another thunderous alley-oop dunk from Cameron Hines (SR/Ft. Cobb, OK). Sandifer concluded the night with 15 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks on the defensive end of the court.With his 13th point of the game, Stephon Hall (JR/Oklahoma City, OK) became the 16th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone. Hall closed the game just three rebounds shy of his first career triple-double. The junior contributed 14 points, seven rebounds, 12 assists, and four steals. Hall is just the sixth player in program history to record at least 12 assists in a single-game. Cameron Hines joined the 1,000-point club one month ago, and on Saturday evening, Hines closed with 12 points and three assists in 23 minutes of action.Jaden Causwell (SO/Johns Creek, GA) overcame a slow start, and concluded the win with 11 points and seven rebounds.Boubacar Diakite (JR/Mali), Theran Lantz (SO/Paoli, OK), and Eli Hollis (SO/El Reno, OK) each score points off the bench. Diakite also added four rebounds, while Hollis grabbed six.Silas Elliott (SO/Oklahoma City, OK) scored three points and corralled four rebounds. Tre'veon Ellis (JR/Oklahoma City, OK) and Kator Ago (JR/Nigeria) each scored a pair of points.The Drovers will try for their sixth win in a row on Thursday, February 18 when they are scheduled to travel to Plainview, Texas to face Wayland Baptist University.
