Griffins Turnover Knights to Knot AEC Season Series

The revenge victory included four Griffins in double figures; senior guard Aziz Parker (Westampton, N.J.) lead the group with a game-high 22 points and a perfect 11-of-11 (1.000) clip from the charity stripe. It was a pair of his free throws (73-70, 4:45) and a three-point play from sophomore midfielder D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) (76-73, 3:57) that kept the Knights from completing a rally that narrowed a 59-37 (16:32) Red and Gold advantage to a single point, 71-70 (5:55), with a little less than six minutes to play. The clutch performances triggered the Griffins for a late a nine-point edge (86-77, 0:26) that ensured today's triumph.
