Aggies Edge Griffins in High-Energy Affair, Clark Comes Off Bench For Double-Double

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (11/21/2023) – Gwynedd Mercy University (2-3) welcomed Delaware Valley University (3-2) to the Griffin Complex for tonight's pre-Thanksgiving tip-off. A high-energy game saw the Griffins trail the Aggies by 10 points, 44-34, at halftime and eight points, 76-68, at its conclusion. The Red and Gold paced Delaware Valley University to a 15-15 (14:35) stalemate and the contest was tied at 25-25 (7:36) before a 13-0 Aggie run distanced the visitors for their double-digit halftime advantage. In the second half, Delaware Valley University gradually improved their lead to 14 points, 66-52, with 5:36 left to play. Finished by graduate guard Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.), a late Gwynedd Mercy University push reduced the Aggie lead to four points, 68-64 (2:07), but no further as a three-point play (71-64, 1:40) and closing free throws kept the game just out of the Griffins' reach.
