UPADTED: Winter weather cancels outdoor events; Basketball, Men's Wrestling still scheduled as planned

Story updated to reflect the addition of Soccer and Golf cancelations (p:4,5).

The wintry blast has overpowered scheduled events for Tennis and Baseball over the next six days. The arctic air that is making its way into our fair burg is causing widespread cancellations across the region, as we all prepare for potential freezing rain resulting in icy road conditions, making travel difficult. If forecasted conditions are correct, Sunday's temperatures will be the coldest on record since 2014, reported by CBSDFW.com here.

As a result of these developments, the men's and women's tennis teams have canceled its upcoming events on Thursday at the Colin County Tournament, and a Saturday dual at Howard Payne University.

Baseball will also not be traveling to Jarvis Christian for its three-game series on Friday and Saturday, as well as its game at UT-Dallas on Tuesday.

Additionally, the Men's and Women's soccer teams will not host Ottawa University – Arizona this coming Monday.

The Men's and Women's Golf spring season opener have also been postponed and moved to March 28-29.

The Men's and Women's basketball matchups at the 'The Sid' with John Brown this coming Saturday are still scheduled as planned. Fans can watch the action at RamSports.net/live.

The men's wrestling conference championship are also still scheduled as planned. The event, hosted by Central Christian College, is set for this coming Friday and Saturday in McPerson, Kan. Watch live coverage here, and track live results here.
