Tritons Selected to Compete in College Basketball Invitational

UC San Diego men's basketball will continue its season into late March as the Tritons have accepted an invitation to participate in the 2024 College Basketball Invitational (CBI). The 16-team bracketed tournament will take place March 23-27 at Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. The semifinals and championship will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
 
"We're thrilled to extend our season and I'm really proud of our guys for earning an opportunity to compete in such a quality event like the CBI," said UC San Diego head coach Eric Olen. "The CBI has the potential for us to learn about our guys in a tournament setting, in a lose-and-go-home environment."
