Tritons Celebrate Seniors, Wrap Regular Season

UC San Diego concludes the 2023-24 regular season on Saturday afternoon when the Tritons welcome Cal Poly to LionTree Arena. The Tritons, who have secured a second-place finish in The Big West standings, will look to get back on track following Thursday's setback against UC Davis. That loss snapped UC San Diego's nine-game home win streak and marked the first game this season in which the Tritons posted a better field goal percentage than their opponents but still lost (now 14-1).
 
Meantime, Cal Poly is in search of its first Big West win after falling Thursday at UC Irvine. Interestingly, the Tritons and Mustangs have only met once in La Jolla as Big West members. Other scheduled meetings were canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. Cal Poly is the only Big West team the Tritons have yet to beat in LionTree Arena.
 
Prior to tip off, UC San Diego will recognize its senior class of J'Raan Brooks, Bryce Pope, manager Jonah Simental, and Emmanuel Tshimanga.
