[Softball] Tigers start national tournament against Georgia Gwinnett

Georgetown College softball starts national tournament play noon Monday against Georgia Gwinnett College. The Grizzlies finished the regular season by being ranked eighth in the country, earning the opportunity to host an opening round site. Along with the Tigers, Milligan University and University of Rio Grande round out the double-elimination tournament field in Lawrenceville, Ga.Follow all the action through the tournament page. Gwinnett went 2-2 with LWC and 1-1 with UC. Georgetown went 2-2 with the Patriots and despite losing all regular season meetings with the Blue Raiders, beat them 2-1 in the Mid-South Conference tournament to earn the league's second automatic bid to nationals.
