[Softball] Tigers rally for win, earn national bid

Cinderella is writing a story and it is not one of Fairy Godmothers and magical creations. Georgetown College softball has been on an exciting ride of its own making – timely hits, phenomenal defense and amazing team chemistry.Saturday afternoon all the hard work punched the Tigers ticket to the Mid-South Conference Tournament finals, which comes with a ticket to the NAIA National Championship Opening Rounds. After trailing No. 5 Lindsey Wilson College 1-0, GC rallied for two in the fourth and never looked back in a 2-1 win.Madie Sims got the rally started with a lead-off single. Peyton Beger followed with a single to set the stage for Annie Campbell. The designated player ripped a double and when the dust settled the game was tied. LWC then turned a non-traditional double play, but the Tigers offense was not done. With Beger at third Cassie Rannells singled to left for the winning run.
