Scranton Hands Susquehanna First Conference Loss of 21-22 Season

SCRANTON, PA – The River Hawks fell to the University of Scranton Royals on Wednesday night, as the Royals shot 57.9% from the floor and 41% from deep to best Susquehanna. Dominic Dunn was the leading scorer for the River Hawks with 14 points, as Susquehanna had four players in double figures.

The Royals jumped out to an early 10-2 lead, a lead that would remain in Scranton's possession for the vast majority of the game. Susquehanna was able to tie the game at 23 after two free throws from Danny Frauenheim, but Jack Brockett knocked down a three to give a lead that the Royals would not relinquish for the rest of regulation. Scranton would continue to build a lead throughout the remainder of the first half, but a Wes Simons layup just before the buzzer sounded would cut the Scranton lead to seven heading into halftime.
