Ray, Hammond receive All-GAC recognition

SHAWNEE, Okla. – In advance of the Great American Tournament beginning on Thursday from inside Shawnee's Firelake Arena, the league announced its all-conference honorees and superlative award winners at the tournament's annual banquet on Wednesday night. Among the players selected as All-GAC performers were the Mulerider duo of Carel Ray Jr. and Gregory Hammond Jr. Ray was named to the league's second team, while Hammond, last season's Newcomer of the Year and a first team selection, was tabbed honorable mention. Ray, arguably the GAC's unofficial sixth man of the year a season ago, received an All-GAC plaudit for the first time in his career.
