Pioneers upset No. 23 Carson-Newman 65-63 in NCAA overtime thriller

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Trenton Gibson scored a game-high 22 points including three key free throws in overtime as the sixth-seeded Tusculum Pioneers upset No. 3 seed Carson-Newman 65-63 Saturday night in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region quarterfinal at Tex Turner Arena.
