Panthers Take a 75-69 Win Over Virginia State in CIAA Quarterfinals

BALTIMORE, MD – The Claflin Panthers (17-10) got out to a hot start and held off a tough Virginia State Trojans (15-15) team for a 75-69 win in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. After taking an early lead, the Panthers fended off a hard-charging Virginia State team to make their first trip to the semifinal round of the CIAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament since 2020.
