Nixon’s three seals comeback as ‘Dogs push winning streak to 10 with 84-83 victory

Wingate, N.C.—-The Wingate University Bulldogs pulled off another impressive victory Saturday evening in Cuddy Arena, erasing a 19-point deficit and getting a go-ahead three from Donell Nixon with two seconds left to prevail 84-83 over Carson-Newman University in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action. Wingate pushes its winning streak to 10, moving to 14-3 overall and 9-0 in the SAC. The Eagles fall to 13-4 overall and 6-3 in league play. The 'Dogs continue with their best SAC start in program history, while the 10-game winning streak is the longest since an 11-game streak in the 2016-17 season.
