Mervin James Named MAAC Player of the Week For 2nd Time This Season

EDISON, NJ – Rider University redshirt senior forward Mervin James (St. Thomas, USVI/Pebblebrook [North Alabama]) has been named MAAC Player of the Week, the league office today announced. The honor is James' second of the season and the third of his career. The MAAC Preseason Player of the Year averaged 23.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 46.9 percent (15-32) from the floor and 100.0 percent (16-16) from the free-throw line in the Broncs' two road wins over Saint Peter's and Mount St. Mary's this weekend.
