Men's Basketball Unable to Top Stockton Despite Strong Start to Second Half

GALLOWAY, N.J. — After a tough start to the first half, the New Jersey City University men's basketball team — fresh off this week's viral buzzer-beating moment — nearly came back to top Stockton University on the road on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 11, in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play. The Gothic Knights came all the way back from 18 points down against the Ospreys and found themselves all tied up at 58-58 with just 5:55 remaining in regulation. Unfortunately, Stockton was able to regain momentum and — despite a game-high 19 points from senior co-captain forward Kayton Darley (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) — topped NJCU, 74-61.
