Men's Basketball Surges to 71-67 Win Over Valparaiso

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Guard Derrick Butler scored a career and game high 24 points as Central Michigan built a sizeable lead and held off Valparaiso for a 71-67 men's basketball victory Wednesday evening at McGuirk Arena. The win helped Central Michigan improve to 3-5 overall, while Valparaiso fell to 4-5 on the young season.
