JCC'S MATTHEWS HITS THE BOARDS TO EARN RRAC MEN'S HOOPS WEEKLY AWARDMen's Basketball – Mon, Jan. 25, 2021 at 1:45 PMWACO, Texas – Semaj Matthews of Jarvis Christian College (Texas) was selected as the RRAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played over the dates of Jan. 18-24. This is the conference's 11th weekly award for the 2020-21 men's basketball season.Matthews hauled in 25 rebounds as the Bulldogs won a pair of conference games against University of the Southwest (N.M.). The junior forward from New Orleans accounted for eight points and 10 boards in an 84-48 romp on Thursday. Matthews went bigger with 15 rebounds and seven points on Saturday as the Bulldogs claimed a 72-41 victory. He was 11-of-13 at the free throw line for the week. Matthews leads the RRAC with 9.8 rebounds per game on the season.
