[Men's Basketball] Saints have Six in Double Digits in Win

Mishawaka, Ind.  The Holy Cross College men's basketball returned to non-conference action this afternoon when they squared off against cross-town rival Bethel University. Midway through the first half the Saints held a 15-11 lead. After a Nash Hostetler three, the Saints took a 33-23 lead with three minutes until halftime. Bethel was able to hit a three at the buzzer to cut into the Saints lead, as the game would enter halftime 36-33 in favor of the Saints. Shooting 71% from two in the second half, Holy Cross would extend their lead to 25 points with 10 minutes remaining in the game. The Pilots would cut it to a 10-point deficit late, but Holy Cross converted on 20/24 free throws in the last three minutes to edge out Bethel 93-80. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 3-1 overall, while Bethel falls to 3-2.
