[Men's Basketball] OLLU men's basketball makes history with 3-0 start after win over Central Baptist

CONWAY, ARK. (Nov. 4, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's basketball team used a strong second half to defeat Central Baptist College (CBC) 79-72 on Thursday. The Saints' 3-0 record is the best start in team history. The Mustangs, which dropped to 0-3, received votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll.OLLU defeated Arkansas Baptist College 74-68 on Wednesday, and Ruben Monzon (SR/San Diego, Calif.) led the team with 11 points.Head Coach Chris Dial commented, "Central Baptist has a great team. We got outplayed early again, but relied on our conditioning and were able to wear them down. This team allows us to play a multitude of lineups and at the end of the day we brought more runners to the race. I'm proud of our players and our staff for the work they have put in. We have a long way to go and I'm looking forward to getting back to San Antonio."
