Men's Basketball moves to the round of 32 with a 72-66 victory over Carroll

CALDWELL, Ida. – It was the first national tournament game for every basketball player today as they came away with a 72-66 grinded out victory over Carroll. Cornerstone got off to a slow start in the first half, seeing themselves down 21-11 at one point, but a 21-2 run that saw Cornerstone take a 32-23 advantage kick started the Golden Eagles into holding onto the lead. Cory Ainsworth was dominant down low, scoring a game high 26 points and the final key points down the stretch to give Cornerstone the victory. The Golden Eagles will now play host team The College of Idaho tomorrow night at 7 p.m./9 p.m. EST for a chance to make it to the final site in Kansas City.
