[Men's Basketball] Men's Basketball Snags Big Road Win

Doane Men's Basketball went to Yankton, S.D., and picked up their first win at Mount Marty since December 2018 on Wednesday evening. The Tigers walked away with an 84-66 victory over the Lancers.After exchanging baskets in the first two minutes, Doane would take the lead for good as they coasted to the road win. The Tigers pushed the lead to double figures with nine minutes left in the first half and to 17 points, 44-27, at the break as Alec Oberhauser (SR/Parkersburg, Iowa) hit a running jumper at the buzzer. The largest lead of the game for Doane was 25 points, 78-53, with four minutes to go in the game.Anthony Laravie (SR/Omaha, Neb.) led the Tigers with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including four 3-point baskets. Alec Oberhauser added a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Josiah Gardiner (SO/Milford, Neb.) finished with 16 points and Joe Burt (SR/Lincoln, Neb.) notched 12 points.As a team, the Tigers shot 56-percent from the floor, hitting 12-of-27 from behind the arc. Mount Marty shot 47-percent from the floor and made 11 3-point baskets.Doane returns home for the final game of the regular season on Friday, February 18, as they host GPAC front-runner Briar Cliff at 7:45 PM.
