[Men's Basketball] Men's Basketball Ends Season in Seward

Men's Basketball closed out the season on Saturday with a trip to Seward to take on rival Concordia. The Bulldogs out-shot the Tigers on the day in posting an 84-63 win. The Tigers ended the season at 6-19 overall and 3-17 in the GPAC.In the opening half, Concordia shot 51-percent while hitting six 3-point baskets to take a 48-34 lead after 20 minutes. Doane shot 48-percent from the floor but was held to 18-percent (2-of-11) from behind the arc.Both teams cooled off a little in the second half with the Bulldogs out-scoring Doane, 36-29. The Bulldogs shot 44-percent from the floor with the Tigers hitting 39-percent. For the game, Concordia shot 48-percent, making 10 3-point baskets, while Doane shot 44-percent and hitting four 3-point baskets.Alec Oberhauser (JR/Parkersburg, Iowa) led Doane with 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Nick Saiz (FR/Lexington, Neb.) came off the bench to add 11 points with two steals and Anthony Laravie (SR/Omaha, Neb.) finished with 10 points.
