[Men's Basketball] Lions claw it out against the Tigers

Georgetown College men's basketball ran out of steam in a physical battle Saturday against Freed-Hardeman University. The Lions (7-3, 3-1) came in scraping to hand the No. 17 Tigers (8-2, 2-2) a second Mid-South Conference loss, 79-70.GC had its largest just a nudge more than half way through the first 20 minutes – 10 points, while FHU responded and clawed back to hold a nine-point edge late in the second half. The Tigers used their next two possessions for a tip-in and a lay-up to pull back with in five, but got no closer. Clutch shooting and rebounding helped the visitors walk away with a win at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.
