[Men's Basketball] Late rally allows Phoenix to stop GC's win streak

Georgetown College men's basketball dropped its first game in nearly a month in a hard-fought game in Lebanon, Tenn. The No. 17 Tigers (13-4, 10-4) held an 11-point lead before a big run by Cumberland University closed the half for a tied game. The Phoenix (7-10, 6-9) came out strong in the second half, but a calm, beautiful three from Kyran Jones with just more than a minute left seemed to have the visitors back in control. CU scored the final seven of the final 10 points to rally and win, 76-73.It looked like GC had a chance to send the game to overtime when TJ Stargell missed two free throws with three seconds left. However, a halfcourt pass was knocked away and stolen by Tavon King to seal the victory for Cumberland.
