When they captured their first title, the Friars defeated Georgetown, 74-64, on March 13, 1994 in the championship game. In 2014, Providence earned a 65-58 win over Creighton in the championship game. In 2019, the Friars posted a 1-1 mark in the BIG EAST Tournament.
