Men’s Basketball Defeated At No. 5/5 Marquette, 91-69, In BIG EAST Play

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Providence College men's basketball team was defeated by the No. 5/5 Marquette Golden Eagles (22-6, 13-4 BIG EAST), 91-69, on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis. The Friars fell to 18-10 overall and 9-8 in BIG EAST play. Junior guard Devin Carter (Miami, Fla.) led the Friars with 18 points, five assists, five rebounds and two steals while shooting 4-9 from the three-point territory and 4-5 in free-throws. Graduate students Josh Oduro (Gainesville, Va.) and Ticket Gaines (Buffalo, N.Y.) contributed 12 and 15 points, respectively.
