Men’s Basketball Comeback Falls Short Against Eastern

The Messiah University men's basketball team second-half comeback attempt fell short in the 60-53 loss to Eastern University on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons fell behind in the first half 35-25, after the Eagles went on a 16-2 run to take control. The Falcons looked for a comeback in the second half, and cut the deficit to six with 4:31 remaining in the game, but the Eagles responded with a 7-2 run to cut the Falcons comeback attempt off and win 60-53. Dylan Cuparus led the Falcons with 11 points and nine rebounds. Johnny McBride added 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
 
The Falcons finished the 2023-24 season with a 6-19 record and a 2-12 record in MAC Commonwealth play.
