[Men's Basketball] Barons Win Late Over Florida College

Mount Vernon, GA — Our Barons competed against Florida College Monday night and came out on top. The final score was 74-71. The game came down to the last few seconds. Benjamin Ross (JR/Atlanta, GA) and Jack Gray (JR/Powder Springs, GA) both finished with 19 points shooting 6-11 from field. Nic Pullum contributed 16 points. Ross also finished with 9 rebounds, just shy from a double- double. This was a great team win for our men's team. Coach Birchfield said after the game "I was really proud of our guys against Florida College.  We were down late and rallied together.  I believe this group is learning how to lean on each other when adversity hits.  Florida College is a good basketball team and this is a quality win in the SSAC."They will be back in action Friday night January 22,2021 at 7:00p.m. against William Carey.
