[Men's Basketball] Barons Lose to Dalton State

Dalton, GA — The men's basketball team traveled to Dalton State yesterday and were defeated 77-59. The game was close until the last 10 minutes. The leading scorer for the Barons was John Allen (SO/Marietta, GA), he finished with 15 points and was 5-7 from the free throw line. Nic Pullum followed with 11 points and he was 5-6 from the field.After the game, Coach Birchfield said "Im proud of how hard we played defensively for three quarters of the game.  I thought we made it difficult for Dalton to find a good look when we were engaged.  We have to learn to focus for longer periods of time if we are going to win conference games like this.  Right now we are good enough to compete, but we have another step to take before we can be a serious player in the SSAC."The next game will be January 14,2021 at Erskine College.
