[Men's Basketball] Avila Survives Sterling to Snap Skid

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The second meeting this season between Avila and Sterling was even more entertaining than the first: the game once again went right down to the wire with the result hanging in the balance even after the final horn sounded. But after the dust had settled it was clearly Avila (9-16, 8-11 KCAC) that had won, topping Sterling (2-22, 0-18 KCAC) 65-64 in an important league victory on Saturday afternoon in Mabee Fieldhouse.
