McAliley Selected to All-PSAC East First Team, McGlone and Paz Named to Second Team

LOCK HAVEN – On Thursday afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on that East Stroudsburg University men's basketball redshirt junior forward Lakeem McAliley was selected to the All-PSAC East First Team, while redshirt senior guard Justin Paz and junior guard Jaelen McGlone were honored on the All-PSAC East Second Team.

McAliley becomes just the fifth Warrior to earn All-PSAC East honors in three seasons, earning back-to-back All-PSAC East First Team selections, along with being named to the second team as a freshman in 2022. He led No. 14/18 ESU in scoring (17.3 ppg), field goal percentage (.563%) rebounding (5.9), blocks (22) and second in steals (2.2). Among PSAC leaders, the Philadelphia native ranked 11th in scoring, 19th in rebounding, fourth in field goal percentage, 12th in free throw percentage, fourth in steals and 21st in blocks. He accomplished the impressive statistics without ranking in the top 25 in the conference in minutes played.

Among Warriors all-time, McAliley ranks eighth in points (1434) and currently has the third most points during a junior season in program history. He ranks seventh in field goals made (543), seventh in field goal percentage (.563), 10th in 3-point field goal percentage (38.8), 10th in free throws made (282), ninth in free-throw percentage (.775), 21st in rebounds (512), tied for eighth in steals (159) and 14th in blocks (75).

He joins Whis Grant (2013-15), Duane Johnson (2011-13), Lonnie White (1991-93) and Jonathan Roberts (1988-90) as three-time All-PSAC East selections. Next year, he looks to join Grant and Roberts as ESU players to earn All-PSAC East First Team honors in three seasons.
