McAliley Honored by PSAC For Third Consecutive Week

For the third consecutive week, the PSAC has recognized East Stroudsburg University men's basketball's Lakeem McAliley as a weekly award winner. On Monday, the conference announced that McAliley earned PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.

McAliley, who previously was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week on Dec. 6 and was then named PSAC Athlete of the Week on Dec. 13 has continued to impress as a redshirt freshman.

He posted double-double performances in both contests. Against Edinboro on Saturday, the Philadelphia native recorded 15 points, 13 rebounds two assists along with distributing two assists and collected a block and a steal in just 21 minutes of action on the court.

Facing #3 Mercyhurst, McAliley impressed once again with 17 points, and 13 rebounds. He also recorded three assists and earned a pair of steals against the Lakers. He led the charge off the glass, as ESU outrebounded nationally-ranked Mercyhurst by a mark of 40-26. McAliley impressive performance on both the offensive and defensive resulted in a plus/minus of +25.

On the week, the Mastery Charter product averaged 16 ppg and 13.5 rpg.
