Lakers drop Devils

FREDONIA, N.Y. — The Fredonia State men's basketball team fell 83-64 to Oswego on Saturday. Tyrese Fuller led the Devils with 12 points and added seven rebounds. Keenan Roberts Jr. added 11 off the bench, and Malik Jemison had 10. 

The SUNYAC-leading Lakers (8-0 / 14-1 overall) took the early lead, but the Devils hung around. They trailed by a single point, 27-26, after back-to-back three pointers by David Jordan. 

After a jumper by Tyrese Fuller with 3:20 left in the half, the Devils trailed by just four, 39-35. Oswego would lead 45-37 at the break.

Leading 47-41 early in the second half, the Lakers scored eight straight ot build a 14-point lead. They would keep a double-digit lead the rest of the way. 

Oswego was led by Ahkee Anderson with 23 points, one of four Lakers in double digits. Cartier Bowman had 14 points and 10 rebounds. 

The Devils (5-11 / 2-6 SUNYAC) play host to Brockport next Tuesday in a women's/men's doubleheader beginning with the women at 5:30, and the men at 7:30.
