Knights finish off Devils

FREDONIA, N.Y. — The Fredonia State men's basketball team trailed by three points late in the second half, only to have Geneseo finish on a 13-3 run over the final 4:22 to claim a 73-60 victory. Malik Jemison led all scorers with 24 points on 10-18 shooting, including 4-8 three pointers. Kai Woods added nine points and seven rebounds.

Geneseo had four players score in double digits, led by Cole Kattan's 20. Kattan shot 6-10 from three-point range. Robert Pericolosi had 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Fredonia State pushed the action in the early going, building a 13-4 lead. The Knights eventually tied the game at 15. The game saw 11 lead changes and eight ties until Geneseo pulled away late.

Geneseo improves to 11-9 / 8-5 SUNYAC.

The Devils (5-14 / 2-10 SUNYAC) return home this weekend when they play host to a women's/men's doubleheader vs. Buffalo State. Action begins a 2 p.m. in Dods Hall with the women. The men tip off at 4:00.
