Kevin Patton Jr. Earns Third WCC Freshman of the Week Honor

First-year guard Kevin Patton Jr. has been named the WCC Freshman of the week for January 29, 2024, the West Coast Conference announced on Monday morning. Patton Jr. continued to shine this week in a road matchup at Pepperdine, totaling 11 points on 3-for-9 shooting as he made a three and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the line. He also added four rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the Toreros' dramatic 69-67 win over the Waves at the Firestone Fieldhouse. He is now tied with Gonzaga's Braden Huff and Portland's Tyler Harris with three WCC Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week honors this season, and is the fourth San Diego freshman to earn the award in 2023-2024.
