Jamerson II Notches Second Straight Double-Double in Loss at USF

San Diego men's basketball (12-11, 2-6) on Thursday night jumped out to an early lead as junior center Steven Jamerson II shined for a second consecutive game, but a dominant offensive effort from San Francisco proved to be too much for the Toreros, dealing them a tough 95-79 loss to the Dons (17-6, 7-2 WCC) before a crowd of 2,248 in War Memorial Gym. USD started the contest out strong, and battled to secure a 16-15 advantage with 12:23 remaining before San Francisco immediately answered with a layup to pull back ahead.The Toreros clawed back within four points at the 6:36 mark in the first half — when a free throw cut the deficit to 33-29 — but got no closer, and the Dons didn't trail again.
