Jaguars Knock Off Troy in Front of Fired Up Mitchell Center Crowd

MOBILE, Ala. – In front of a 3,000-plus Mitchell Center crowd, the South Alabama men's basketball team held off a late surge from Troy to win 74-71 Thursday night to claim its second win over a first-place team in the Sun Belt Conference in a row. The win improves the Jags to 10-8 on the season and 3-3 in conference play, while Troy dropped to 11-7 on the year and suffered its first loss in the Sun Bet this season, giving them a 5-1 record.
