Iona MBB Takes Down Manhattan in MAAC Opening Round

The No. 7 seed Iona University men's basketball team topped No. 10 Manhattan 60-57 in an opening round matchup of the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship at Boardwalk Hall. The Gaels' All-MAAC tandem of graduate Idan Tretout and freshman Jeremiah Quigley scored 24 and 17 points respectively to lead all scorers in the game. Iona advances to tomorrow's quarterfinal round against No. 2 Fairfield in a 9 p.m. tip off in Atlantic City Wednesday night.
