Humboldt Falls in Final Seconds to Monterey Bay

ARCATA, Calif. — For the first time since December 2nd, Cal Poly Humboldt returned to their home floor and took on the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters Thursday evening. A dogfight down the stretch saw a two-point game with 16 seconds remaining slip away from the Lumberjacks and Monterey Bay held on for a final score of 76-70. Rob Diaz III was the highlight for the jacks as he posted his third consecutive 20-point game, recording 20 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Meanwhile, Chase Hettinger posted a season-high 12 points on 80% shooting from three-point range.
